Wireworm larvae in the cabbage roots

I examined a wilting cabbage plant by digging it up and looking at its roots.

It was crawling with wireworm maggots and I washed them free of soil and maggot.

I replanted the plant with copious watering.

Is this likely to succeed?

depends were you are.. and whether the plant can hold on for a week while the roots start pumping water ...

in every post.. include your location.. big city name ... if you are down south.. i suspect a quick death.. if you are up north and still rather coldish at night.. it might pull thru .. especially if you shade it from direct sun for a week or so ...

also.. you failed to mention the size of the plant..a babe might recover much faster than a bolted 2 foot plant.. a pic would have answered that question ...
