My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Lifespan Solid Select or Claymark Solid Gold clapboards?

My builder in Vermont exclusively uses LP Smartside for smooth (not textured/wood grain) clapboard and they are no longer making the smooth product (as of March 2022). He is not interested in using Hardi siding. I find the wood grain texture option in these products end up looking fake and plastic-y.

Does anyone have experience with Lifespan Solid Select or Claymark Solid Gold clapboards for siding a custom-build home in Vermont? We would be painting the siding a darker color.
