lots of stamens left but no petals. can i give you more information will determine whether it is cornus or viburnum?

This is soft information : it bloomed with the other 7 viburnums in the garden. it was through blooming just before the 2 Cornus Kousas here bloomed

IF it's alternate leaved, it still wouldn't discount dogwood as it could be alternate-leaf (pagoda) dogwood.
