Some times this is a good way to light a dark corner.

Search small accent lamps for the very small table.....and WHAT is that table, and where? A picture would be good, what style etc

No clue what you are talking about in the other..... and lamp can be put on a timer

Maybe let us in on where and for what purpose . Pics of the spaces for sure. Post here in a comment.

Here is a photo of my front door… lots of natural light, turn your back on the door to walk down the hall & you’re heading into darkness. I’m thinking about a VERY small lamp on the hall table.

Front door with lots of natural light but hallway leads towards dark spaces… despite the light walls & the white kitchen.

When the upstairs doors are open, the natural light is MUCH better. But, my question remains. Would a small light on the hall table help? … perhaps on a timer?

My other space that drives me crazy is the lovely large family room with only a 5’ sliding door to bring in the natural light. No high ceilings. It’s 1 step down from the kitchen level. Dark floors were already here. Can’t afford to replace them.
I’m wondering about two options:

• a floor lamp at the end of the shiplap, where it meets the side wall of the house.
• a table lamp (same place).

The room is actually a fairly light colour ((Wickham Grey). But you feel how low the ceiling really is - as soon as you stand overlooking the family room from the kitchen.
It’s a room that really NEEDS a side window but we can’t afford that!
So, I’m wondering if I should put a light on a timer in the corner at the right side of the angled fireplace where it meets the wall. A floor lamp? A column lamp? A table lamp?
