You can move bigger shrubs if they are too large. Pruning them too often might reduce the flowering, which is why you have them. If you're getting all the rain we're getting, this is a good time to move shrubs.

I'd be tempted to put the biggest plant, the one on the left (Is that the Rose of Sharon?) on the right corner of the house as a punctuation mark at the end of your garden.

It's always amusing to see the photoshops. Between a Rose of Sharon, azalea, and heathers, you have plenty of flowering shrubs, that just weren't in flower when you took the pic. The photoshop puts everything in bloom at once.

Yes, that's a Rose of Sharon which I was warned by my father would get too big in that space! I can replant them elsewhere, true. I'd need to hire a landscaping company to do that, though. Much to big a job for my abilities (and busted shoulder).....

The photoshop rendering is beautiful but unrealistic. I can't move the walkway pavers because they connect to my stairs down to the driveway.

I'll start with the big pruning and see what to do from there. Though I think I need to wait to prune until the fall.
