Did a little diy this weekend to improve the look of my mantel, only now I feel a bit overwhelmed by all the white. Any suggestions for alternate colours that would look nice?

We just painted the kitchen aegean teal and are awaiting backsplash and window install, but because living/kitchen areas are adjoining I would prefer a lighter colour on the mantel since I went darker on cabinets.
