Looking for an induction double oven. Aga, Fulgor Milano, Cornufe, etc

We are in the market for a centerpiece induction double oven range. We looked at doing a range top and a double oven, but it changed the look of the kitchen a lot so we’re hoping to find a single double oven that works.

The options we’ve seen are:
Aga Elise 48
Aga Mercury 48
Fulgor Milano 48
Cornufe 48
Ilve 40

Are there any others we’re missing and is there any we should be zeroing in on? Our biggest worry is the size of the ovens. Ideally would have had two 30in ovens, but that’s not possible with these of course. Since these are also quite expensive we’d like something that will last a while too. We have a 1912 house so something that fits with the era more would be nice, but not a requirement.

Thanks for any advice and experiences you can provide!

To use a range that needs a 60 amp circuit, you will have to up your electrical panel and service drop to the home if you have the usual old house 60 amp panel. If the home has been upgraded to a 200 amp panel, it will still probably require a large sub panel for a kitchen redo. The large electric ranges require a large amperage circuit. Plus there are many other dedicated solo kitchen circuits required. That is all just to get to a needed base level of service to start a kitchen redo.

And if you expect the same performance from a 48” range limited by a 50 amp circuit as a 36” 50 amp cooktop, you are going to be sorely disappointed. It is not physically possible for more burners and ovens to use the same amount of juice as a cooktop and have the ability for the high performance cooking of a that smaller, and more powerful cooktop.

Interesting… we did recently upgrade to a larger panel and a 200amp service so that isn’t the worry. But hadn’t considered it not performing as well. How many dedicated amps would be need for it to perform as expected? I saw 84amps on the spec sheet for the Fulgor Milano, but I didn’t fully understand that. I reached out to our electrician to help us make sure we’re not overextending our system.

Are there any other good solutions for our kitchen then? We’re doing a complete renovation of our kitchen so this seems like the time to add a double oven. It’s an L shaped kitchen with an island extending down the middle and the idea was to have the large oven centered on the skinny part of the island

Here’s the floor plan we created. We don’t like the double wall ovens that were put in here by the designer. Requires 3 circuits and takes up a ton of cabinet space

Hi Benjamin, any chance you made a decision? I'm in a similar boat, AGA or Fulgor, no gas in my area so am wanting induction and I can't stand touch controls, gotta have the knobs that the AGA and Fulgor have.

thank you so much! I've thought the same about the AGA oven temp printing - why is it below the knob?! terrible. I appreciate it Lindsey

Any update on your Fulgor 48in induction? Happy with it?

I would love to know how loud, or quiet, the fans in the oven are. We are in the midst of moving out of state to a house that currently has a 48” gas range, and I want to change it out to induction.
