That will be a ton of work to make those window openings wider for sure.

This was a single story house that had an poorly-designed addtion/remodeling on top. You are unlikely to be able to balance it. Good balance usually has smaller windows on top, to make it look less top-heavy. I wouldn't remove the storm door. It's probably providing weather protection. You can paint it the same color as the door, so it's less noticeable.

If the portico is off-center, then you want to avoid symmetrical landscaping. We can't see much of the yard, but a biggish tree in the right front yard will draw attention away from assymetry.

It would be easier to reduce the size of the top windows and replace the siding. Widen the side walk to match the steps. Yes, landscaping to draw the eye away to something else.

Thank you all! Re: making the top windows smaller. I hadn’t thought of that. In general, I’d hate to make any window smaller but if it’ll help the problem and not cost $$$ then that could be a viable option. Also good idea to widen the steps.

Would you do a limewash on the red brick (I am not a fan of the brick) and match it with white vinyl siding? I’m on the fence on what to do about the color.

I would never paint a highquality surface that doesn't need paint to match much cheaper vinyl siding. Painting it will make your house look like a box.

Just make sure at least one window in the bedrooms all meet egress code.
