Faux Wood Blinds - Top Down Bottom Up

I haven't been able to find TDBU Faux wood blinds for my double hung windows - BUT I must have the bottom privacy as homes are VERY close together. I really want the white faux blind look. So I am considering hanging a blind on each half of the double hung window. Has anyone done this? What are the pitfalls? Any other advice?

I think the large rail/stack in the middle of the window would look odd - and it also depends on the mounting if it has a middle support or not. If it has a middle support you obviously can't do it. I would look into plantation shutters if you want that level of functionality. If you don't plan on raising or lowering the blind often (and if you do they are heavy and tend to have a large stack so don't look that nice), plantation shutters are better IMO.

I don't know about your choice of Faux Wood Blind, but I know they have a white in a bamboo blind top down/bottom up. I have these on all my windows... LOVE, love, love.
