You are overthinking this. 12” deep isn’t even usable, it is so hard on your back. Standard sized materials will always be the least expensive option. You need to upsize the sink base cabinet to a 27” or 30” and put in a standard 25” sink. Or accept that your sink base limits you to a standard 18” or 22” sink sink, with internal dimensions smaller than you want. But plenty big enough for what you need.

Maybe share why the depth. I have found nice laundry sink/ cabinets at Costco for clients and also on Wayfair. I have never never had a sink in my laundry and now with the new washers with so many choices for laundry I probably will never have one

MANY need a sink in a laundry, Patricia. It has often nothing to do with JUST the laundry. It acts as a sink for any activity you not want cleaned up in a kitchen or bath, and it is especially true when there is no slop sink in a garage, or in a condo environment etc.

Size and depth are a different issue and over thinking a clean up is likely same. Doesn't mean you don't need the sink. What any of us has or needs may not be the need of another.

Yes I would say it is for laundry (hand washing in a bucket) but more a utility sink for bigger items that don’t fit in the kitchen sink and also for some dog washing.

Hope it's a small dog. You don't need a bucket for hand wash items, that's what the sink is for!

If you need it bigger? You get a 36 inch cabinet.

If you have a 36 inch sink cabinet in the kitchen and can't use that sink? Then not sure what else, short of a basement or garage slop sink.....

My cabinet is set. Already ordered. And yes most often the dog will go in the tub so I will figure that out. Also trying to get a pull out bucket for under the sink or something in the dog for the garage. But finding a sink at 12” depth is not east. I really want an undermount utility in stainless steel.

With SS, the smaller the # the thicker the gauge. So, you want the smaller #.

18 gauge is more than sufficient for a utility sink. It's what your grandmother's sink was made from that still exists in her 70 year old kitchen.

I think what is limiting your search is the budget part.

My stainless Kohler laundry sink is 22"" x 16" x 12" deep. Retail price was around $1,300 two years ago, although we paid less with our contractor's pricing.

Both are 16 gauge.

That said, 18 gauge is perfectly acceptable.

I have an 18 gauge Kraus large single bowl kitchen sink. I ordered it thinking it was 16 ga only to discover just after ordering it that it was 18 ga. Rather than canceling the order, I decided to 'wait and see'. When it arrived, it seemed (and is) very sturdy so went ahead and installed it. Two years later, I am still very, very happy with the sink.

ETA: RVU 6015 small radius corners. This is a top mount sink. Keep in minds that top mount sinks can be undermounted with no problem.

I just measured our Laundry room sink and it is 13.5 inches deep, set in a cabinet with some type of stone countertop. Seldom do I use it for laundry purposes; it is perfect for cleanups after yardwork/gardening, painting, filling our steamer, working on our automobiles and things like that. The cabinetry and sink was installed by our builder. If you are really good at digging when googling, you should be able to find a good sink with dimensions you want that is well under $1000. The sink that mcarroll upthread mentioned looks like it might fit your needs very well for the price.

Restaurant supply sinks tend to have 12" deep sinks. Look there....but expect to go top mount not undermount.

I ended up getting a Ruvati sink that was 13” deep, 16 gauge. It has a roll out mat and cutting boarding included so that I can cover the sink for folding. Thanks everyone.

JAN MOYER laundry sinks absolutely need to be that deep - for doing hand washing, making sauerkraut, major cleanup jobs, etc etc etc..

I don't make sauerkraut. I can hand wash nearly anything in six inches of water, and rarely do that as a large sweater bag, or lingerie bag eliminates the need. In many homes, major ( and frequent ) big job cleanups might be a separate "slop" sink in the garage.....NOT occurring at all in the laundry.

The price is going to be a combination of the machining + volume. A sink they don't sell a lot of is going to cost more than a similar sink that sells at higher volume.
