Rug size under sectional

This is slight smaller than 8x10, the other size is 9.6x13, should I go for bigger one??

I know everyone will say bigger, but this one appears to work just fine. I would push it further under the sectional to the right, so the front feet are all on the rug.

I would go bigger if you have the room for it.

Get a totally different rug. That is not good with paint or couch. You've rather a warm/cool mix of the blahs, sorry to say. A bit of clash as well.

What the heck is under the tv console??

Take more pictures and include more foreground

I think this one is fine, just place it so the edges of the sectional are over it.

the rug is fine, just not positioned under the sectional.

I would also hang the framed art vertically on the wall. Center the middle on at eye level and put one over top and one underneath it.

I like the rug the way it is all you gain by goinf bigger is more of the rug under the sectional. I too wonder what is under the TV and also I garee the TV lower would br better . I do not love the 2 tone drapes and bigger art more colorful IMO would be better .I do like balck/ white color schemes but IMO they still need some puches of color . I have a blk/ white LR and d\d have agray rug I found this on Amazon ( ihavs a huge space so got 2 ) I love them they have sone gold in thm that allowed me to add glod in small doese for a bit of bling

    Here is the sizing guide

I would go bigger on the rug.

Looks like a rolled up rug pad under the console, probably placed there while the OP tries out different rugs.

I have moved rug, planning to buy bigger 85 inch TV so it will lower TV.

I will consider buying art work for walls, but yhise pictures were a refle and memories of my home town.

drapes are blue but the white are linen sheers in another rod.

i was considering to change drape, but have not made my mind,

my older rug was blue and white.

i have white and gold kitchen.

what color drapes over sheer I should go?

i was also thinking to keep Blue and add blue accent pillows and stools

This intersection of rug corner and fireplace is visually not good. I'd move the rug

The media cabinet should be longer than the TV screen

I like drapes to blend/match the wall color so they don't stand out.

Have you considered a shade with sheers/Linen over, no heavy drapery panels?

So yiu mean shade and then sheer curtains over it??

Wanted to keep blue draoe so can get some color in room, tried light gray before but there was no color in room

get color in your Art and Rug.

if you must keep the drapes for color,

make them a feature and extend the rod beyond the trim on the sides.

If you need multiple ready made panels? Have them seamed together and avoid the ready made look : )

You need color and texture in that space, actually not ON the curtain panels - it will take the chill out of the metal and the GRAY. Also, forgive me please...the done, done, and done a billion times look of gray on gray on more gray.. It's the harsh chill you want gone and there many colors aside from navy . Start with art over that fire.

“The media cabinet should be longer than the TV screen”

    Agree…about 25% longer.

You don't have to remove your treasured photos to balance the artwork. As suggested hang them vertically and get larger frames for the two middle ones.

I would replace those drapes with lighter ones. Hang the art vertically..

I changed drapes, will hang pictures vertically.

I tried rust color cushion in room with orange flowrs in vase .

how does it look I dd not like it much.

please give me ideas for accent color beside blue.

in place of rust color cushion will hot punk work?

i already have turquoise and yellow in another living room so want different in this one

Yes pink will work but I think the pillows should be geometric or stripes or even floral. All the solid colors just look boring. The blue is too stark. Add some with texture

The sectional definitely seems to work better with the rug farther underneath it. We might suggest getting a longer, lower TV console if you're going to get a bigger TV. Also please see the last image for ideas of other colors to go with blue/navy.
