I found this 1 branch growing from the normal colored Elaeagnus. When I take cuttings will it stay like this or revert to all green. Is there a better place to find out about this plant? I hate elaeagnus, it came from the neighbors and is a constant problem that I am trying to get rid of. I would keep the variegated in a large pot if it would stay variegated.

We have been cutting elaeagnus back and pulling it up. It is scary how it burns. It goes up in flames like it is sprayed with gasoline. I think a hedge of this near your house would be a major fire hazard.
