I grow my raspberries - Raspberry Shortcake cultivar - in containers as well. Slightly bigger ones however....maybe 20G :-) Mine are well budded, flowering and berries forming but nothing is ripe yet. That's one of the disadvantages of living so far north.....everything is just a tad bit later to happen. I usually manage to harvest enough in one go to top my morning breakfast cereal. If they even make it indoors!!

This is heritage in a 5 gallon pot going into its 6th ish year. This is the best production by far. I am wondering if It will also produce on this year's canes. I almost killed it by overfeeding 2/3 years back when it seemed to be onto a glorious production. :( It lived and is finally getting to be worth the real estate it occupied on a 65 square foot balcony. I used to shove the branches outside the railings to decrease its footprint and it obviously retaliated by not producing much. It is getting good sun and space this time. I got 14 berries yesterday and 17 today. After a good washing by the rain gods they are perfect to gobble up, no cereal needed. I prefer dried berries on my cereal. 😊

Raspberries are productive and trouble free, I find. I started a few years ago with just 6 canes in the ground. I don't recall the name, but it's one of the Mallings. We've been picking for three weeks and are getting around pound a day at the moment. They are mostly going in the freezer because we can't keep up eating them fresh.
