It was a good day for seedlings. Here is the Queen of the Garden.

This is a future introduction I hope. The plant is rather petite and it got overshadowed by some of the bigger growers around it. Now that we moved it, it is increasing and looks like it will have a decent bud count. It is also producing some nice offspring, especially when crossed with taller daylilies. It is Sea of Cinders X Happy Holidays to You.

Here is the royal Court.

We have been waiting for this one to bloom. It is Pineapple Bites X Extreme Tangerine.Please pardon my hand. I was holding back some scapes next to this flower.

The cross of Cherry Pie a la Mode X Rosie with a Ring is giving some pretty babies, but this one is probably the best. The base color is not so white, but the eye is very intense and large. This is just a first season flower so we don't know what the plant habit will be like.

Iwanna Piranha X Horsing Around usually shows some broken pattern. I wish there was more contrast between the broken areas. I will try crossing this with Explosion in the Paint Factory when it blooms.

I like Let's Dance Tonight X Sihir.

I like the color on Vampire Fish X Van Helsing.

The Sihir seedling is eye catching. I also got Penguin Tuxedo as a bonus. Last year, Northern Lights sent two plants that were not true to name. This happens too often. Let's see, what town do you live near in Indiana. It is apparent that you are a good week ahead of here. I guess southern Indiana is more like Kentucky. Your seedlings this year have been impressive.

We are in Terre Haute. we seem to be a little ahead of Indianapolis, but I wouldn't say we are like Kentucky. Evansville is 2 hours south of us and they definitely warm up faster than we do.

Mantis, do uou think peguin tuxedo is incorectly labeled? To me it looks more like Merrily Marilee? Do you agree?

Or is it Pearl City Penguin?

Very pretty post today, Nancy. I like Patricia Ann's Calliopsis. and Penguin Tuxedo. But Sea of Cinders X Happy Holidays to You. and Pineapple Bites X Extreme Tangerine are the winners today. Interesting to see what crossing with Explosion will do with I wanna Piranha X Horsing Around, . I started to mention another seedling zI like, but truthfully they are all very pretty. And, Mantis, I agree. Incorrect plants come far too often and it is very frustrating when it happens, the one sent always seems to be a lesser plant than the one ordered and paid for too.

Well, I'm all confused now. I started looking at the registration info for Penguin Tuxedo and the others Kalhleen Norstrom has introduced that are similar. I decided it is not Merrily Marilee as it has a watermark (registered as a lighter eye which is a watermark). It's not Pearl City Penguin because it has a bluish eye. But it really doesn't look like Penguin Tuxedo. It does have a darker eye (as mine does) but the shape and size of the eye don't look right. Maybe it is just variable. I wait to see other blooms. Here is the picture in the database.

The veining seems right.

You have a lot blooming.Wild and Wonderful sure looks to be a good plant. The NOID is pretty. I would say it is Penguin Tuxedo. Just a guess looking at the detail.

Your NOID is really pretty, and I always like Patricia Ann's C. The queen seedling is very nice, but my favorite is Cherry Pie X Rosie. Those red eyes always go straight to my heart.
