A couple more openings

It is not good weather here with the smoke and we went code red yesterday and back to orange today. Outdoor time is very limited for me.

Catastrophe Waitress - seems a bit shorter this season. But still gorgeous blooms this morning.No flaws that I could see on the blooms.

Neon Flamingo - I could not find the tag but went back to my log of incoming plants and found that I got this from Debra last season. Both short and tall scapes. Started blooming a couple of days ago.

Spacecoast Francis Busby - very, very short scapes, hardly and buds. I think it needs some growth hormones. LOL.

Spring Mystique - this one of two clumps I have of this daylily. It is overwhelmed by the lavender,rubeckia,coneflowers and whatever else is surronding it. It started out great in growth of and scapes and then just stopped and started blooming. The pattern is not as intense as I usually see on it.

Dearest Valentine has openings but will not fully open.Even this morning it just hangs up. It stopped scape growth and much like Spring Mystique started out great with the foliage and scapes Maui Sunrise continues to open with orange color. Nice blooms but short.

And a couple of garden pics I had to take this mornning. I am loving the other colors in the garden.

I like the combination of Rocks Cry Out, Yarrow and the Balloon Flowers.

Catastrophe Waitress has great color for you and those do look like perfect blooms. Spring Mystique is lovely. The garden photos are especially pretty with all the different plants and colors. You must be amending that clay soil well!!! All the plants appear to be thriving.

That's a pretty color on Neon Flamingo! It has both tall and short scapes this year for me too. Your Spacecoast Francis Busby is doing better than mine. At least you have two scapes, and yours has bloomed. My clump originally didn have any scapes, but it finally put one up about the middle of June. It's still probably a week or so away from blooming. Many others had only a couple of scapes in a clump, and are now putting up more. I love the yarrow in the last photo. Do you know the name of it?

Debra: The yarrow in the last pic I posted is called New Vintage Violet. It doesn't get really tall like the yellow one I have which is Coronation Gold.

I am so glad Catastrophe Waitress is doing well. It is such a pretty bloom. All the perennials look so good Balloon flowers add to the looks of most blooms to me.

Look for Francis Busby to improve each year, at least that is how it happened for me. I, too like the violet yarrow. I am glad Debra asked the name. Very lovely post with all the blooms, Julia.

Spacecoast Francis Busby was very short here too, practically on the ground, and only a very few blooms. I lost all but 2 fans of it, it was a nice clump last year. Love the shots of your perennials, and I adore that New Vintage Violet yarrow.
