Blooms from 7/2

Overcast morning following an overnight shower. I figured I would take some pictures. I believe that most of the pictures that I take this year will be from the weekends.

FIRE ON THE MOUNTAIN: A wonderful plant and outstanding color. The scape height could be a bit taller, but the foliage seems to arch low enough so the blooms don't appear to be in the foliage.

CONNIE CAN'T HAVE IT: Blooming next to FIRE ON THE MOUNTAIN. Nice Combo. I really hacked this one up two years ago and left a small single fan. It took two years to bloom.

BORN TO BE AWESOME: Nice plant for front of the border. Scape is supposed to be 25 inches, but it has consistently been 14 inches.

Small World TNT: A nice bright showy plant. I love the red edge. My only complaint about this one is that it is a good morning plant. By the time Noon comes around, it has melted and the petals are paper thin. I may keep a fan to hybridize with to see if I can do something about its staying power.

The Tribble With Blue: This is a good plant with some rebloom.

It took me a minute to think about it, but then the name Poly Esther dawned on me. I had to laugh. Some daylily people have such a great sense of humor..........I really like the color of Fire on The Mountain. Such a glorious red for you. Really shines................Maryl

Dracula: A favorite dark daylily. Love the white edge. Makes large plants.

POLY ESTHER: Huge blooms this morning. Need more buds.

You're fortunate to have any of Connie. Just wouldn't grow here. Some have few buds this year; others have more than usual.

Small World TNT is my favorite of these. The Tribble With Blue is a good plant here, and it does usually rebloom for me. It's too bad Born to Be Awesome is so short. I has a very pretty face!

Dracula has a good dark color-I like that edge as well. Poly Esther does look like a huge bloom.

Do you know which Bennett this is? The tag has been dragged or displaced by deer. I rearranged the Bennetts last year so am not sure of this one.
