Lol, Qusay and Uday—-exactement!

Love the chairs, I would be all about getting an in-person look on this.

First time I have ever seen banana ducks. Unique

Oh, I love them! I'd get them.

I haven't been looking on my FBMP lately... wonder what I'm missing?

These chairs are so sweet and perfect for a cottage or beach house. The price is certainly right!

I've found a graceful wicker fern stand and some plants for my patio on FB Marketplace, and I occasionally see other items that pique my interest but I don't pursue because I don't need them. (And don't laugh, but I kinda like the banana ducks. ;-))

That blue of the slipcovers is the prettiest blue! So you got me looking in my little FBM world--

Love the gingham w the toile! They seem very KSWL to me; i think that is her palette! Maybe you could trade them for ducks.

I forgot to say for $50, you may regret not getting the pretty blue pair! You're right, the gingham are KSWL : )

And it’s a good thing I don’t have a great marketplace within driving distance because i would have those chairs in a red hot minute!

Our wing chairs are our most comfortable chairs.

I was not familiar with walking banana ducks, so I googled hoping they would be less tacky if they were ’art’ or pricy. They’re aren’t.

They are available from numerous sites and in different sizes. A small one is 1.69 at Temu.

Is there a reason for them? A story? Why are they?

Surely you have somewhere you could put those lovely banana ducks, @Kswl? I think someone needs to give them a home.

I went to see the chairs but passed. I assumed they were slipcovered (sure looks it) and the poster said "I think so." She said her Mom did it. It was a weird combo of upholstered but not quite completely. But the cushions did not have zippers. Wasn't far from me so no harm done.

Now that you passed I’ll say it. The fabric not matching (placement of the floral) each other on the backs would bother me. Forever.

LOL -- Maddie, that was one of the things I liked about them. They most certainly did not say "factory." I liked that they were an imperfect match in more ways than one.

Too bad the chairs did not work for you, nice that they were close by though.

I have been looking for a new to me used dining table, looking to seat at least 8. Have not found anything new that I like. I know what I want, but every time I see a possibility it is further away than I want to drive to make sure that the condition is acceptable and it has not been sold already. I am convinced it will eventually work out.

Too bad about the chairs. They do look like slipcovers. I dont usually find anything on my FB but this rug caught my eye. 9.5 x 13.5 for $100. Might be too overpowering for my room.

@Kitch4me that is so pretty!

That’s too bad about the chairs. They looked promising. Here are a couple of examples of the items on my FB marketplace. The second one says it‘s a limestone table-$600. Hmm.

OMG you guys are too funny! You really swear it's all on your local FB? I'm gonna have to look more closely!

Every time someone mentions FBMP ( which is often) I look again at mine. I must be doing something wrong because most ot it is as dee described.

Wayfair items and if I click on the seller, it's someone in India or Brazil.

Some goodies from my FBMP today. I wish I had a use for the first two. I have inquired about the last one, thinking it could be painted and used as a bedside table in DD’s old room. She took her nightstands with her.

“LOL -- Maddie, that was one of the things I liked about them. ”

When you wrote in the original post that you liked them because they didn’t match, I was happy that you noticed they had different legs.

These are another FBMP find that became less ugly.

I went back to look for anything crazy and my community is just too buttoned up it seems.

Had to go back quite a ways to find anything interesting.

I am guessing this is in a cabinet but I first though it was room-sized.

That looks like a pork butt. Is it art?

Here's a blast from the past. I went to a wedding in the 80s and the cake toppers were Precious Moments bride and groom figurines. Oy.

LOL Dee. I'd rather this collection of Red Rose figurines on our BuyNothing

Pork butt LOL.

I want that green "credenza" Sue! Here's a piece on mine - love the wood - but I have no room for it.

oh yes, very nice

I see why you liked the wing back chairs, but the slip covering pattern not placed the same...is too sloppy. I'd see it forever. Glad you passed...but....I do see the appeal.

@Kitch4me...THAT rug is GORGEOUS! I saw where someone staged their outdoor area and used a hand knotted rug like that....probably just for the photo shoot....it ROCKED no matter where you'd put it.

$60 for THIS headboard...I don't need...

This is a sweet Union National Chinoiserie set (mid-century) … everything for $149.

“5 piece bedroom suit— set includes two twin headboards with bed frames, dresser, nightstand and chair.” — from ad.

It all needs some TLC. Wish I had a room for it!

The sellers don’t mention it’s Union National furniture; I’m guessing they don’t know. They just call it ”a French country shabby chic set”.

So pretty Jilly. I love love rooms with two twins. Its my fave room to decorate. Alas no one actually wants to sleep on a twin!

Me, too, Mtn. I have a bunch of inspo pics of rooms with two twins. I just find them so charming.

I love the twins in your house! One of my favs. :)

Here's my contribution:

the pillows are passe, but the headboards are great! (and only $100 for everything!)

those are tempting!

A couple of cute things…

Love the detail, even of the little drawer inside.

The details on this one are sort of odd, I think. I would paint it a fun color and use it at the beach house.

Had to LOL at this on our BuyNothing page:

Wish: does anyone have an old iPod they don’t need/use? My son is asking for a “phone that just plays music” so I said an iPod? And he said a what?
Wait until he hears about a disc man.

Thanks in advance!!

I have one.

48" X 36" ......I like it.....free.

I love this lamp. Wish I had a spot for it.

I made a mad dash at lunch yesterday to pick this up from a Marketplace seller and am loving it! First photo is the piece in her house, and the second is in mine, all set up and ready for action!

Ida, that is fabulous! It reminds me of Labarge furniture or of an awesome vintage patisserie rack. :)

What a find - love it!

We just hauled home this lighted marble-topped console and I threw my back out in the process, but totally worth it. I've had a tall version of this piece for the past 30 years, and had to go see this one when it appeared on Marketplace less than 4 miles from me for a mere $125. I'm very pleased with it... just need to ransack the rest of the house for things to display on the interior shelves. And yeah, it's "brown furniture" that apparently only old people love, but what the hell. I'm old.

Found some stuff:

It’s perfect, Ida! Come do my house. :D

That's perfect in that space. Whaat's wrong with brown furniture? It's the colour of wood isn't it?

You guys just made me check out FBMP for my area. This was just posted 2 hours ago.

Surely one of you "needs" this. Just $679,989.00

Me! 🙋‍♀️

Me! 🛼Only in metallic dark blue....oooooohhhhh........

@nekotish “. Whaat's wrong with brown furniture? It's the colour of wood isn't it?”

Yes it is. “Brown furniture“ is the term used because rooms of wood furniture are not currently the trend.

@Ida Claire got some great stuff..
