Hoping to get some advice before I do any damage to my house. We have a car rooftop cargo box I'd like to hang in my basement storage area (empty weight of 35lb). The room has exposed floor joists. I purchased a pulley system designed to hang cargo boxes exceeding the weight of my box. Is there any reason it isn't safe to drill into the joists to hang the pulley system? I would mount 1 part of the system per joist.
