kitchen range hood chimney dilemma

Hi,
Our kitchen has 11 feet high ceilings. We changed the under cabinet range hood to a wall mounted hood as shown in the picture. The issue is no manufacturer makes chimney extensions for the the hood past 10’ high kitchen ceilings. So we will have a gap between the end of the chimney and the ceiling as you can see in the pictures. Any design ideas to address the gap??

I found this 11 year old discussion on Houzz through a Pinterest search, but don’t know how to link to it. I believe the answer was to hire a local metal specialist to create an extension.

Sheet metal shops can bend up almost anything; your issues will be proper dimensioning and providing a sample so the stainless steel can be matched in color and mill grain. A plan for attachment is also needed.
