The simple things in life make the difference. I am happy to see the visitors coming to give you some pleasure. A little walk is good too. It must have been nice to see your mailbox display looking so cheerful & the Hydrangea so serene. I can only imagine how not fun it is Ann. 3 more days until you can start healing. My thought are with you every day.

So nice to see your owl friend….if there’s a baby, that will be fun to watch. There’s nothing like a walk in one’s own garden. So good to enjoy the fruit of your labor. I love your mailbox plantings. So cheerful! I have a big old hydrangea like yoursβ€”β€”Annabelle? I never know when to cut it back, if at all….☺️

I am praying for you too…. from my surgeries (and I have had many, many) I recommend moving things that may normally be accessible to down from shelves so you can get at them when needed. My husband moved the TV up so I could see it when I had my back surgery for instance because I was in bed a lot. I cut my hair really short so I would not be fussing over it. My sister who had both shoulders done , needed clothing that closed in the front because one can’t get their arm up to put on a pullover. Easy elastic waists on pants is good and so are loose fitting , mumu type dresses with front closure. You have probably thought of all of this, but just in case you haven’t I thought I’d mention it.

Look out in your garden often if you can, and use this time as an excuse to binge watch Netflix! One of my favorite things to do!!

Follow doctors orders and don’t rush your healing, it can set you back.
    Love and hugs!

    No need to respond…..

debra..nice of you to say no response necessary but I want to!..I clip my Annabelle in the spring..removing dead, bent or broken stems..
Good tips..I’ve been wearing what you described..Pull on shorts and pants and button down shirts..
I learned something new..I’m using dictation on the Houzz app..I see mistakes which I can fix but it’s faster than typing the entire thing..

Ann, I am sorry to learn that you are not well or are in pain. Debra has given you excellent advice, such a gift to have good preparations pre-op. I wish you an easy surgery and a speedy recovery.

Ann/nw, so sorry to hear about your fall and your shoulder! Crazy how fast things can happen. You’re probably in more pain now than you will be afterwards. My husband just had a major surgery, and it’s amazing what they can do these days. You will be wanting to do things before they tell you it’s all right, so don’t push yourself even if you’re feeling better and think you can go back to doing it all!

I’ve been hearing an owl at night lately. I think it’s made my area its summer territory. I guess your lot is so shaded they are around during the day for you. Owls are cool! And your mailbox plantings are pretty!

Good luck on your upcoming surgery. The waiting and apprehension might be the worst of it. Good thoughts for you healing quickly, and I'm glad you found a way to communicate with your voice on here if that’s easier at the moment.

back to say..I went out..my plants have grown!..it makes me sad that I can’t take care of them 😒..

2 piles of debris from the June 29 storm..a bad day for me 😭..

Your plants are in fine shape and that is reason to be happy. We do have to seek the little ups in a bad time. I understand being nervous because I think the anticipation is most difficult. Surgery tomorrow will begin the healing process, thank goodness Ann. I will continue to think of you every day. Much love.

Ann, sorry to hear about your shoulder. After surgery you can just look at feeling a little better every day. Glad you were able to get out in your garden. Walks in the garden are good for morale.

Thank you Laurie and Beth πŸ™‚..your comments gave me a lift..I was excited to see the growth on my plants..I missed them..I wasn’t out for two weeks..as soon as I can I want to tidy up my pots..
I didn’t do anything but walk around for a few minutes but my plants made me smile..

Sending healing thoughts your way. it is amazing how much we take for granted what our body being able to do until we have limitations to our movement and capabilities.

I would highly suggest being your own advocate, ask lots of questions and understand what why and how it is being done, given etc and what are goals are.
