Also looking for advice on good colors of white... And if the lined stucco is worth the additional price

Are you considering true, 3-coat masonry stucco or EIFS? Do either or both hold up well in your climate?

@charles - which one is better suited for four season climate?  We're in Toronto

I don't (thankfully) have any first had experience with stucco in cold climates. We've used both and both work well in our (coastal Virginia) climate. I'd be concerned about moisture and potential freeze/thaw cycles with true masonry stucco and less so with EIFS.

Properly installed drained EIFS systems work well in this climate. (I'm here in the GTA since William Dennison was Mayor.)

But while EIFS is good with the weather, it is fragile around motor vehicles, kids playing ball and the like.

In the few years we lived next door to this '06 EIFS home in the Banbury neighbourhood the owner had the home sprayed once to refresh the colour. Due again. Unless patina is your thing.

I've only used it once, on a bay over a garage. I couldn't figure out what buyers were looking for. So I included brick, stone and stucco. Popular white and light coloured stuccoes tend to stain after a few years from hydro connections et al.
