Clump, VTs beginning,

It has been exciting: there was no lull between the main season and the extra late VTs as my seedlings have been going like crazy. I still have many seedlings that will be blooming for a while, and some of the VTs haven't started yet.

Seedling Carmen Renee x The Last Melon, my favorite of the clump posted above [the one on the right]. 13 Buds. The one with 29 buds is similar except more of a bitone.

VT Sept. Star. One scape has 29 buds; all are well budded but too undeveloped to count.

VT Rose Rosy

Seedling Rose Rosy x North Wind Dancer. Got a better picture of this reverse bitone. It has 29 buds. The whole clump has a lot of variety of colors and all are tall [in the 30s] and well budded. Great cross.

White Eyes Pink Dragon duo. This is the actual color of mine! Triple checked! Photo taken last evening.

VT Rosy Rose X NWD is my favorite of these. It has a unique look for a late, and with a bud count like that it's a definite winner! I like all the Carmen Renee kids too. VT September Star is my favorite of the VTs.

Those Vermont crosses are sure doing great tor you! It will be nice for you to have late bloomers that arent in the yellow family, seems most lates are. Do you have an idea which ones will stay?

Sherry, It is the first year for some, second for others. But I'm pretty confident that Carmen Renee kids will stay and also Rose Rosy kids.

Seedling Carmen Renee x the last melon is my favorite. The veining of the petals gives it an extra special edge, plus in your picture the form is marvelous........Vt. Sept. Star is another one I like the color on. In my climate they would probably be mauve though not lavender. Not a bad thing really, just not the beautiful shade you have in your pictures.........Maryl

Brad, checked out the seedlings again, Rosey Rose X Northwind Dancer is definitely my favorite. If the scapes dont lean you really have a winner there!

What is the blossom in the first pic that appears to be a bitone? An evening photo of White Eyes will certainly look different with fading; it's nice. Evening photos also are low-light photos. VT S Star has an attractive color blending between the veins, in that pic at least.

Mantis, the bitone is another Carmen Renee x VT the Last Melon. It has 14 buds and good and tall. VT S Star does have the color blending you noted. EDIT: that is actually the bicolor.

The bitone is the one with 29 buds, also Carmen Renee x VT the Last Melon.

What a nice cross of Carmen x Melon. Great pic of siblings. And so many buds. I don't have room to grow more than 1 or 2 from my crosses but for one I made an exception, not a good place and they stay small but I enjoy looking at them and comparing. Some are so similar but some don't look like either parent.

I also like Rose Rosy x NWD, and great bud cound as well!
