Another thought. Have you picked bed linens yet? It would be easier to work from there, but I think blue and sage are great colors choices.

I love color in kids rooms, but it is usually best to pick the bedding and rugs first, then pick the paint. The reason being that bedding and rugs have more limited options, while you can mix a paint color to match (or coordinate with) just about anything.

I don’t like the blue at all with the floors; it’s too cool. I like the green in the middle. It’s fun for a kid but not clownish, if that makes sense. I’m seeing it match a dinosaur themes room!

I think the flooring is a big factor and would head a touch softer and to keep the room feeling light/airy suggest a bit lighter.

Color below would work well with the travertine and is an easy shade to work with.

Consider painting guest room the same as rest of house, but add a lovely wallpaper behind bed. Again consider the flooring when accessorizing.

IMO sage is much more neutral than blue . I usually start bedroom decor with bedding and choose a color from that for the walls. I do wonder why you are keeping that trim below the crown IMO when painted white it will stick out like a sore thimb.

I would go with white, once the rooms are filled with kid stuff, you will get all the color you need.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. Latest thought is to do the light blue and sage green only for the back wall behind the bed. My wife already fell in love with the idea of blue and it’s hard to talk her out of it.

I do like the new blue suggested by Maureen but we have two days to go and not sure we have enough time to sample a new paint color. With the current color choices, worst case it’s just one wall and we can paint over if.

I do love the wallpaper idea too.
