Oh, you know which one I like the best--Ablilene Lillian X Ruby Lipstick. I like everything about it--the shape, the edge, the wonderful color and the green throat. I can't wait to see it bloom next year. You have such a lovely group of pink/rose ones! I can't pick a winner. I also like the Stenciled Infusion seedlings. I look forward to the day you can register these!

I like the Symphony of Praise X X seedling, nice color and I like the shape. Untamed Heart seedling gorgeous color and bitone makes it special. I love the Pink Aloha seedling for the same reasons as Untamed Heart.

Lets face the facts, they are all lovely. Which of these has the best habits so far……this may not be the season to ask but I did.

All these seedlings have something to like. I love the color on the Dearest Valentine seedlings. The Abilene Lillian seedling shines with the eye and edge. The Untamed Heart seedling has a luscious color as well. Dancing Flamingo seedling-yes! They are all so pretty.

These are very pretty. I especially like the Dancing Flamingo Seedling for the color and form, the Untamed Heart also for the color and the form and also the Abilene Lillian because the color is much prettier than Abilene Lillian and it has an edge which, of course, Ruby Lipstick does not have.

Sherry - (Symphony of Praise X Henry Lorraine) X Bubblegum Queen was the best performer of these for this season. It had huge 9-inch blooms on 29-inch scapes with four-way branching and 15-17 buds. It also had instant rebloom. The photo shows blooms on each of the two original scapes, plus a bloom on the instant rebloom scape. In past years Seedling X Pink Aloha has gotten 24-26 buds and rebloomed, but not this year. I think it had bud counts ranging from 10-13 this year. It is a fast multiplier. Innocent Discovery X Dearest Valentine had 16 buds in the past, but this year only had 10-12. It multiplies fast. Dancing Flamingo X UF1 has also gotten 16 buds int the past, but this year had only 8-12. It multiplies slower than its two siblings. Some of the others have gotten 13 buds in past years. The Untamed Heart seedling and the Stenciled Infusion kids are too new to evaluate, and they are planted in part shade so they are not showing what they can really do.

Seedling x Pink Aloha is my favorite. Not a shocker. I don't know if this is the one I liked so much last year or not. Don't remember it looking like a bi-color. Is it one you will introduce do you think?.............Maryl

Maryl - Yes that is the seedling you have liked in past years. It's not really a bitone. A lot of my daylilies look like bitones this year because of all the bug spray and deer deterrent I had to spray on them. I don't know if I will introduce it or not - depends on whether it ever has good bud count again. It certainly multiplies well enough to be introduced.

The Untamed Heart seedling is interesting; hope it has good height. Also Symphony of Praise seedling.

Mantis - I did not measure the scape on the Untamed Heart seedling, but I know only one seedling was taller than it in that seedling bed. Most of those brand new seedlings ranged from 12-20 inches in this weird year. Because almost everything was way shorter than usual, I only measured scapes on the impressively tall first bloomers, like the Bubblegum Queen kids. The pollen parent on that seedling, There's A Place, was very short this year. Untamed Heart was only an inch or so shorter than usual. Untamed Heart is producing kids with blue tones. Here's the other new seedling out of Untamed Heart.

Untamed Heart X So Irresistible - The colors on the early blooms were very blue looking. However, the flowers are in the 4-inch range.

All these seedlings here are very pretty. I especially like your pinks! Innocent x Valentine lighter is still nice and clean pink, and rebloom is great. And the second Valentine looks rosy red to me. When I was looking first I thought that Symphony etc x Bubblegum Queen looks big and then I read that it is indeed huge! Love the look of Abilene Lillian x Ruby Lipstick, nice wide edge. Flamingo x UF also looks big and I love the color. Favorite, probably, are Samantha x Bubblegum, both, so beautiful. I like the large light center on Untamed Heart x There's a Place, looks so colorful. Never know how to correctly call it, watermark, eyezone.. it is in the center though )) The other UH sdlg is also very colorful. Did you try crossing UH with All Things?
