HELP LVP to match cabinets I hate

We absolutely have to do our floors since we currently have carpet and 2 puppies whose pulled out tufting in spots. This isnt our forever home so we dont want to put a ton of money into it. Ideally we‘d redo the cabinets. What flooring would go good with this color? I don’t want it to be matchy matchy and look like a mountain cabin.

Something in a midtone, something like this. You get the moderate contrast with your cabinets, it should hide dog hair very nicely. Don't go gray. The good news is that your cabinetry is coming back into fashion.

You can go to many websites and insert floors in your photo. This floor is from Home Depot.

Definitely bring samples to your house so you can see them in your light.

Try to find a floor without a lot of shadows and knots, they can show up as odd patterns. Longer and wider boards also look nicer.

Any wood floor is going to be a lot of wood and more rustic. No flooring is going to make the cabs look better or 'match' them. Why not paint them instead.

What is the kitchen floor now? It looks perfectly serviceable with the puppies. Pick a light tone from the tile and paint the cabs. If the floor needs to be replaced go with stone or glazed tile.

If you install LVP get specs of at least 5mm and waterproof.

The kitchen floor is linoleum. I’d ideally like to paint the cabinets black and do light floors so it looks like this pic. But since we have so many cabinets we’ve been quoted $5k for the paining & thats just too much right now when floors are priority. We cant do tile or anything glazed bc one of my dogs only has 3 legs and he needs flooring thats a bit more grippy bc he’ll slip and fall. We’re replacing the floorse throughout the whole house, not just the kitchen.

IMO you do flooring that works with the whole house and plan to paint the cabinets when you can. I think a mid tone will work . You do know the LVP is not really anti slip.

Something like unhoned slate, stone or unglazed clay is not too slippery. In a smaller tile with more groutlines similar to herringbone would help. Oh yes, cork is used in Kitchens a lot.

The color is a nice mash of some greys and some warm tones. Be aware of the stripiness of LVP, which definitely shows up in your sample. Be sure you can live with that before installing it.

I like that it's a nice bright medium tone similar to your old floor. Beware the strong wood grain, I agree. A repeat pattern can somethimes be obvious. Not good for a wood look. Go for something a lot more plain.
