I think I would put a narrow console table behind the sofa with some books for reading and pleasant decor and a 2-arm wall sconce on the wall

You can also put the sconce "centrally" with the 2 arms stretching outward evenly.

Or you could just put a lamp or 2 on the table behind the sofa

I would move the chairs so they are more conversational with the sofa, and try some cowhile pillows for the white chair

You need something fun over the sideboard. Do you drink wine? Try wine racks. Otherwise b&w photos, a big pop portrait of a bulldog -- or an elegant art work. Even a very big round mirror might work.

Do you need lighting for reading? If so a nice table and lamp between the two white chairs (forming an L with the sofa) would add height and interest as well as function.

Post pictures of all 4 walls. Looks like you have the furniture all crammed into a corner. Get the layout right before randomly adding more pieces. Wing chairs should probably be in front of bay window. Art is a personal choice. Look around at local galleries for something you like. Paint the vent over the sofa the same color as the walls

I agree the furniture looks crammed into one space The console table does not work there I would not put one behind the sofa. You could easily do 2 pieces of art one above the sofa and one on the wall where you have the console but we need pics of the whole spce so all 4 walls Post here in acomments DO NOT start another post. You need lamps and IMO less pillows . MY thought on pillows is if you have to move a pillow to sit down then that pillow is not needed. If those are fake flowers they need to go for sure .

I would start by changing the wall color and area rug.

I like to frame my children's artwork. Looks better than some of the modern stuff that you can buy and of course has much more meaning to me.

When you place furniture, think about conversations -- you need to be facing one another, not just all lined up looking out the window! :) So chairs across, end tables and lamps to either side.

I love the distressed mirror idea and sconces! So where would I put a side table? And do I need anything in the corner to the right of the leather sofa? The other corner will have a tall olive plant. Ahh this is stressful but all of these ideas are encouraging me. How do I know what size mirror will look appropriate above the console? Any tips on that? I LOVE the distressed mirror idea……
