if you will have a table near the cabinetry w the glass door uppers I'd use that area for a table fixture. Its not exactly clear how the couches get situated and if there will be a table ..but that's the asumption. Nicer to bring the focus down into this area ..since its now available without the wall.

If you feel you need more task lighting on your other counters, consider undermount lighting on your upper cabinets.

Yes! We do have the under cabinet lighting programmed as well :) awesome now I have to decide which backsplash would go best

For the peninsula, you might want to consider a battery operated task light or mini lamp for ambiance.
