Buy white oak. It is cheaper in the end to replace it than to do multiple bleaching and coating steps. only for the tannin to slowly creep back through and turn it all salmon.

Bleach first, then apply a minimum of two coats of Nordicseal.

I am working on doing the same. Until our floor is sanded and I see samples on my wood I won't know what I'll do for sure, but I am looking at either using Bona's Red Out or the equivalent product from Berger-Seidle first. Then sampling the Berger-Seidle Natural White (similar to Nordic White) and their Royal Mat (which is similar to Bona's Natural seal).

Oh, and if you search just using Nordic Seal without the "red out" first most floors I've seen photos of look very pink. Makes sense as white and red make pink

Have you done your floors yet, Emily? I'm pretty pleased with the progress on mine. In the photo you can see the raw just sanded red oak- and it's really red!! The other side has been sanded, treated with 1 coat of Berger-Seidel Pinkqualizer, 1 coat of their Nordic White, and 1 coat of Royal Matte. It will get 1 to 2 more coats of Royal Matte before it's finished. There is a lot of variation of colors in this red oak flooring, but I wasn't about to rip out the whole first floor of our home and I'm kind of liking all the different shades now. It's a really pretty floor in person.
