Gorgeous...but not fond of the bright green decor.

Blue/white/cool gray rug/pale brass/brown hide...very nice. A touch of black would set off the blue leather nicely. End tables and lamps look too small...think oversize pieces with a weighty sofa.

Where is the front door?

Front door is to the right of that staircase door. What are your thoughts for a living room console?

Consoles are generally used as an entry table or TV stand. Will there be a TV in here? Is there room for one in the entry?

Okay now I see you are not keeping the blue walls. Are you refinishing the floors or replacing? I ask because they look in fine shape and are real wood.

TV is currently in this room, sitting on the fireplace console. I think it's about 70"? The sectional has two recliners at each end. So I'm looking to hang the TV where both recliners can watch if possible, or at least one of them.

The entry is more of a hallway...

The room has been painted ancient marble. Flooring is all new, 4 inch hickory sadle...

That's just a picture of the space, sorry. I need to take more current pictures. Ceiling fan is gone. New flooring is down. I have the sectional, rug, end tables, gold end table, blue lamps that look similar to what's in the photos, similar fireplace console, and similar cowhide.

No worries. If you don't want a floating sectional, place it in either of the far corners, and for the TV use the wall between the windows or the wall opposite, depending.

Love the ancient marble paint, I've been searching for that exact tone.

Flip the furnishings and get rid of the cheesy fireplace because it makes your room ceiling look short.

This is an electrical fireplace that you simply hang on the wall. It is NOT built in.

Sorry for the typo above...this is my sectional that I want to use. I would like to use the pieces I have if possible. I am not sure I want to purchase another fireplace. What about a piece like this instead of the fireplace? And still hang the TV...

All I see in the original post is a mood board. No room at all posted. Just from the mood board the sectional is not complemented by any of your other choices. Looking at the pictures of your room posted in the comments, you could possibly keep the sectional (I understand budgets can limit spending) but the FP puts the TV too high.

What would complement this sectional? In warm colors, not a fan of greys...I like bold colors...

Somehow I missed the fact that your fireplace is not built in. No, just no, on an artificial fireplace.

Could you do a quick handsketch of your room so we can see how big the space is you’re working with? Give approximate measurements. As I said above, your picture of your old sectional shoved into the corner looks way too big for your room. Maybe we can see another place to put it, if you show us the room and its size.

Beverly has good layout concept. You want to minimize the impact of the sectional and the fireplace. Large art on the end wall over sofa would bring your boldness into the space. A large colorful rug would vastly improve the room. Truthfully, the sectional is too large for this room. So if you replace it go with shorter sofa(s) to aid in placements now and in future.

I guess I should have asked for help before I purchased this sectional. I feel like I might be stuck with it now...It does however have different configurations. The living room walls are:

10ft 5 in x 15ft x 19ftx 6ft 9 in

Wall to the left of living room is: 5 ft 4 in

Keep the blue sectional. I like it, it's Indigo Blue and it's leather and it goes with your wall color. It looks super comfy so just embrace the wall to wall seating idea.

Don't get another sofa.

You don't mention budget. You don't have to get everything at once...use Beverly's plan as long-term and if you want a fireplace use a TV stand til then.

The green and gray throws are nice, I can't tell if they are the exact shade. Pair it with Denim Blue pillows etc. in the hue of the sofa. And your Cobalt jar lamps are fantastic.

So the sectional is new? We see this all the time. In huge showrooms, these oversized sectionals don’t look so big. But it shows how important doing simple scale drawings of rooms before shopping is so vital to good choices. Sorry, it is a pet peeve of mine. But if it can’t be exchanged then Beverly’s layout is going to help your space a lot. A rug that all front legs of your sectional set on the rug will really ground your room and help the overall look. The movable fireplace is quite deep? I wonder if you are open to painting it? Painting it white would help minimize it’s visual size. Will it fit between the windows! Measure and verify before you move stuff around. Hope you have furniture “sliders”? Great help for easily moving furniture.

I was just putting some green accents in my mood board bc I like kelly green & I have an art piece that was painted by my partners mom that i want to use in this room possibly & it is quite large - 31x56

A green vase, and a floral pic that I would use on the brass coffee table that would sit in the corner area of the sectional.

At some point I’m going to hang black rods, with gold accent finial, high and wide, with white curtains.

Sounds like you are good to go. Art might work better on left wall ( as you look into room with sectional turned per previous layout) over sectional due to size you mentioned. Worth a try.

I can suggest Indigo Blue. These pillows look comfy with a leather sofa.

For Kelly Green, a plant in a green pot. That would bring in your green and would be enough with a big green painting, if at all.
