My wife wants an expensive wool blend for our living room. Quoted at $3200 installed for a 15x20 room. 46 yards. It's a 50/50 wool polyester, Abbey Carpet ABB1051. According to the carpet board, they offer a five year warranty on the carpet, which is the shortest I've ever seen for carpet. I have heard that wool wears like iron, and that polyester rejects stains, but I'm afraid this blend will do neither. Does anyone have experience with 50/50 wool polyester carpet?
