Can you show a picture with the vines? They grow huge and will affect that else you can fit in. And how wide is the border? There doesn't appear to be enough space to fit in more than small edging plants. Certainly not any shrubs.

I believe OP asked specifically about the narrow strip beside the walkway. Snake plant might work but not any of those other large tropicals.

They’re young plants and we’re going to buy a bigger trellis for that area probably in white. The section is one foot wide

The trellises will need to be the full height of the wall and at least as wide. Passion flower gets huge and is a rather unruly vine.

A foot wide border is only wide enough for small plants or something vertical like grasses.
