We are considering an upgrade from our current outdoor lighting timers, which are analog and hard wired into the house, to something in the digital type. We currently have Intermatic model T101, with a 24 hour time switch, 40 amp. There are two of them, though frankly I don't know enough about them to know why there are two. (We've lived in this house for 2 years and so far haven't really changed much of anything on the timers, except to move it back or forward an hour or so.) We've had some issues in recent days with them coming on and not going off, which is why we started looking into replacing them. They have been here since the house was built around 2005-2006.

So we're looking at WHAT to replace them with. One we're looking at, at Home Depot, is an Intermatic 20-amp DT101. The other, which we'd either have to order through Home Depot or Amazon, is an Intermatic ET1125C 30-amp.

Either way, we're NOT going to try to do this ourselves. We would hire a qualified electrician. I would prefer, however, to purchase something that would involve the least amount of switchover.

Any thoughts would be highly appreciated, with thanks in advance.

First thought for new timers, because of their features. Home Depot would have to order.

The one that Home Depot actually has in stock (for now). This is Amazon's screenshot, though. It also says that this would be an easy switchover from the analog model. Would we need 2, though?
