Robern Medicine Cabinet Side Panel Kits?

We purchased 2 Mainline medicine cabinets (4” deep) and just learned that we cannot recess them due to wires in adjoining wall (we are in a condominium.) Has anyone surface mounted their Robern medicine cabinets and used the side panels? If so, how does it look?

I have recessed models, but my parents have surface mounted the Robern cabinets before, in two different houses, and used the mirrored side panels included in the kit. They looked fine!

Also, the mirrored side panels are optional/extra. We are thinking about paneling with the tile on the wall for a more seamless look.
