Great renovation! What did you use for the counter tops?

Are these pics taken from the same angle?

except for the stainless, I love it. the stainless always looks like a restaurant kitchen to me

@Dixie, i think not unless they moved their window

The kitchen looks great. I am curious what the floor material is also. Is it Bamboo? I am not a fan of green. My personal preference would have been to paint the walls a light beige. It may make the look a little warmer and sophisticated. The final product is still beautiful. Bright and cheery. Enjoy it!!

Pretty! I find the stove a little too small for the space, though.

Old world charm and modern appliances...Very lovely!

Personally I liked the original better. A different paint color on the wall and new backsplash and it would have been good to go.

WOW!!! That is an awesome transformation! Before was a hideous cabinet colour and looked dreadful with the appliances. Plus, glad you got rid of the fish! I like the colour of the cabinets after and the lighted cabinets above are charming. The cabinets work well with the green on the walls. The only thing I'd quibble about is did you put vinyl on the floor? Do people still do that? No, no, no. Tile, stone or wood. If you must go sheet flooring then real linoleum not vinyl. Never vinyl.

I wish all transformation articles had BEFORE and AFTER photos that were taken from the same angle.

This is awesome and I do not know how anyone would think the before is better

Like everything but the floor. These are the color of my cabinets - just need a few changes to spruce up. (my kitchen is only 10 years old)

Looks great, love the new hood range and I've always wanted one of those taps (don't know what they're called at the stove) placement of the microwave and lighting is nice. I think the floor probably looks a lot better in person and I'm guessing it's cork?

Nice cabinet work, but I associate stainless steel appliances with the housing boom and bust of 10 years ago. I really wish designers would move on. Why does anyone want their appliances to pop out visually like that?

It is pretty easy see the angles of before and after pictures. It is not that confusing. Great renovation - cheery, bright and refreshing comparing to the old & dark before. I would love if the hardwoods were continued into the kitchen . Great job!

just as overwhelmed by the yellow hue given off...as I was with that dingy hue at my cabin....not for me....not one bit. ugh!

It's nice, if a bit institutional. I'm sure the owner will add warmth through accessories. The refrigerator door needs to be reversed.

This is such a nice kitchen, and I love the cabinets. I agree the old one was great, too. Hope you donated the cabinets.

I totally love that you removed the dropped soffits and ran the uppers to the ceiling. (I did the same) and great minds do think alike. What I like the most.....you did what you like, and isn't that why we live through these renovations?

There are a few things I like about the new kitchen, but the cabinetry is really poor.
People click on the comment picture form Design works...you can see the kitchen from all angles. The cabinets are even more yellow than the first picture.I don't like that.
I would just change the counters and the flooring. The wood cabinets in the old are better than the plain whitish shaker cabinets in the new.
If DIYers had done this I would be nice. Not so sure if it's better. Layout is better and cabinets to the ceiling, but just not sure about any of the rest. If the customer likes it, that's all that matters, they write the check. Nice looking kitchen either way.

Tiny sink, small range, modern range hood, stainless appliances :( weird floor. MEH. And this done in a heritage house?

I absolutely love it, it seems to have more space, and modernized! Great work! Enjoy! I really like the floor, it seems it will be easy to clean and care for it.

It's very nice. My only criticism is the door handles are too dark. They're a little distracting. Beautiful kitchen though!
Maybe it's the lighting but the cabinets look yellow, if that's case, I would have chosen a shade of white instead. Like the style of the cabinets & everything else but I don't like the paint color nor the flooring.

I like that you got rid of the soffit. Love that the cabinets go all the way to the ceiling. Is the kitchen supposed to be a yellowish color or is it the lighting?
