The small round table you posted can double as nightstand, with a wall mounted sconce instead of a lamp to keep the surface free for eating. A full size bed would be an excellent way to save space. The first photo shows the value of adding an accent color to a black and white palette, and the second shows a TV wall mounted over a dresser. It would be a good height if you will be watching TV while reclining on the bed, and offer lots of storage.

Your furniture choices are going to need to do double duty. Have you room for a comfortable chair? Storage ottoman? Your cupboard is going to have to work hard, maybe some low drawers that will fit inside the cupboard. Then you can have a full length hanging section, with shoes beneath, a short hanging section (shirts, jumpers) with the chest beneath. When looking at bed frames, go with something that will allow you to use the space underneath for storage.
