If they don't make it anymore (or even if they do), why don't you contact the buyer of the house and offer to purchase the sconces from them? These are so highly taste-specific, I think there's a good chance the buyers of your home would be happy to part with them for a couple hundred bucks each (or less).

If not, and if I wanted something that bad, I would just say, No, you can't have it, and adjust the contract to un-include it (if that is still possible).

Not all fixtures have to convey with the house, so long as the ones that will be removed are identified/negotiated. I think the seller would have a "price" and if you offer to replace the fixtures with something else, I am betting you can negotiate this.

I remember well, that when we sold our first home, we wanted to keep the refrigerator even though the buyers had listed that they wanted the refrigerator conveyed when they made their offer. We said No, we need that for our new house. Our agent thought we were ridiculous, stating something to the effect that "You are selling your house for $xxx,xxx and you can't buy a new $700 refrigerator?" We thought that was kind of funny for HER to say, since it's $700 directly out of our paychecks. We insisted, and then the real estate agent went to work and did what she had to do to get the sale done. And I think in this case, if your sale isn't closed yet, that you may still be able to negotiate for the item you want. Have your agent make you happy. It's part of the job. (If there's still time).
