A blooming mix today

I hate to see the season end. It seemed shorter this year, more compacted because of the weather??? I still have a few buds on Late to the Party and Jury’s Out. It looks like Olfactory Evidence may be skipping this season….the plant looks really good but no scapes yet.

Today I have first rebloom flower on Olallie Keith. It looks better than the first blooms.

I thought Magic Dancer was done, did some bud building, here is today’s bloom.

My citrina daylily started yesterday. The blooms are smaller that usual. There are many scapes emerging, most will be close to 4’ tall. It should have blooms for at least a month. I usually get some good clump shots. I moved it last season so performance will be a mystery for awhile. I believe this is thunbergi citrina but not positive.

I agree, Sherry. Olallie Keith is better on rebloom for you! Very pretty indeed.

Oh Olallie Keith is so pretty, and reblooming! I have two with a couple of buds left on their rebloom scapes and Happy Returns blooming again, that's it.

Olallie Keith is a pretty one. How nice that it reblooms for you! Magic Dancer looks good. Is this the first time it's done bud building for you?

I dont remember if it did bud building before this season. I rescued a clump of this in spring of 2020, had a new fence and patio redo in fall of 2019 and thought I lost it. It had one scape with a few buds last season, did fairly well this season. It has produced prolifs.

Olallie Keith and Magic Dancer are both very pretty. I think our citrina is bloomed out now. I agree that the season seemed to be shorter. Early bloomers bloomed later and later bloomers bloomed earlier although we still have some very late bloomers with flowers.
