I like white fo e exterior color or a really pale grayed green . As for landscpaing probably a good gsrden center can help there The desert is a tricky place for landscaping and all the issues with water restrictions . My thought would be gravel and all native plants with maybe some big planters filled with plants taht need more water This is fabulous but maybe more than you wanted

SW Austere Gray would give you a hint of color. it will look much lighter in the natural outdoors.

I would add large exterior fixtures and keep the landscape simple with a few huge pots.

The best Arizona colors are usually medium and light desert tones like brown, beige and tan which can reflect heat and UV rays and hide the ever present dust. Finding the right one can be tricky, though, since some can look pretty bad in certain light. I would talk with your HOA, if you have one, and with the paint store or even the neighbors if there is a house that you think looks particularly good. Since your yard is a blank slate, I would speak with a landscape company to come up with a plan that can be implemented over time, if necessary, using cacti and boulders and some carefully chosen native trees like mesquite and paloverde.

That’s great advice! So we live with no HOA. It’s county horse property ☺️ our backyard is half acre of dirt. Not one plant can you believe that. 😬 the people we bought it off of didn’t have time for plants I guess :)

We have a color called canvas tan on the house which is very nice. Dark when I paint inside but when I paint it outside it’s so much lighter obviously lol… I’ll show you, let mw know what you think. The hardest part is matching to my orange roof.

I would try a larger sample on the stucco to see what you think since it is impossible to judge online. You may also want to use more than one color between the body and the trim details.

That’s a great idea. We are thinking like dark dark brown trim and we did paint the trim but it’s scary to think of such a drastic change. I’m not good with this sort of stuff and I’m always so anxious that it’s going to look awful you know.
