I'm ready to tackle these windows (the whole room needs a major upgrade, but want to start with the windows). We'd love to trim these out and add nicer window treatments. My ideal would be some sort of Roman shade I can operate with remote. Hate the blinds and my dog is destroying them bit by bit. The owner before us had a curtain rod at the ceilling with sections of curtains and I love the thought, but it looked kind of weird with the bay window. The view beyond the windows is really pretty, with a seasonal creek and lots of trees, so plantation shutters were out due to how much they block. Any ideas??! How could we make curtains work with Roman shades, or would Roman shades alone with some trim around the windows look best? (I do want to get rid of the old ugly sectional sofa and add maybe two couches facing each other to gain more access to the windows.)
