I guess if you have a ton of original art it might make sense but I would never remove a window to get more wall space and I do have a lot of original art I just find places to hang it but I love windows in a space and honestly this redition looks awful from the exterior . I guess we need to know wher ethe other windows are in that space too.

The house looks odd with a window only on one side. Even if you change it to be half the height it is now it would look better than eliminating it completely. You could then plant a bush that would eventually grow to fill the space under it. If you want to shorten the windows to help with furniture placement that makes more sense than eliminating them for wall art no matter how much you like art. How about hanging stained glass in front of the top half of the window?

I too would never get rid of a window. I would take a view or just daylight over artwork any day.

Never enough windows in a home!

You can insulate and sheetrock the inside while keeping thevwindow. Leave a window treatment before closing off.

It will look the same on the outside and can put put back in the future if needed.

We did this twice. Once when we wanted privacy on the side our home, then again with a bathroom addition.

Consider moving one of your comfy chairs to the porch. A couple cool macrame hanging pots might be nice on the right side. Can search for on Etsy for neat macrame offerings. Perhaps you can look into sky lights to help interior better if closing off windows?
