My Daylilies Started Blooming Five Months ago Today

And daylilies five were blooming today:

Made in Virginia continues to bloom for now:


Barbara Mandrell had her last bloom today, and all but one of the blooms was perfect.


Primal Scream put up a couple more scapes:


Mico started reblooming yesterday:


Bill Watson (I never saw the scape until it bloomed


Chicago Star started reblooming today


I think there are five more yet to bloom...It may be October before they stop at this rate especial;ly since at least two more that had bloomed out of thier reblooms have put up more scapes (Marseilles Watercolor and Blueberry Breakfast). What a crazy rebloom year this has been.

      What pretty reblooms keep coming for you! And what a season it has been! I am sure you have posted Made in Virginia previously but it really caught my eye today with that color.

      I've been tempted by Barbara Mandrell more then once. I'm not a big fan of most reds, but her color looks bright and cheerful. If she doesn't blotch a lot or fade, I may have to put her on my list........I like all of yours, but BM is my favorite today............Maryl

      What an amazing season, and so many pretty ones not just plain yellow ones. Made in Virginia is my favorite followed by Primal Scream and Barbara Mandrell.I will be at 4 months come Sept. Belle Isle Sentry and VT Autumn Fires will keep going until mid-Oct. which is when we typically have a killing frost.

      Beautiful reblooms and so many too! I really like Made in Virginia and Barbara Mandrell.


      We have just a flower or two reblooming here. It's not been hot but we haven't had any rain to speak of for several weeks. It drizzled a bit today--enough to keep us inside but not enough to do the plants any good.

      Brad, That is a great long season. I too will expect frost to be what ends it because not only do several of these that have rebloomed more than once keep putting up mjore scapes, but there are several more yet to begin blooming. I think Grape Twizzler will be next, but it may be Sun's Eye or Veto. Boy CRazy may not make it since it just shot up a scape.

      Hello, Kay. So your first bloom was on April 16th. What zone are you in and what was the cultivar?

      Hi Dave. I am in zone 8 and the Cultivar was Texas Carnival Dance. It should have been Fernstone, but the March freezes took out the many scapes on Fernstone so it was badly beaten this year.
