Well, I was upset with our last luncheon guest who started unsetting my table, deciding beforehand to remove the water glasses as she said no one drank water with lunch. I informed her that *I* did, so she left me a water glass. She also shoved her salad aside saying it was way too much food for lunch before we even served anything. Then she refused any dessert but wanted to taste the coffee ice cream, so I got her a spoon, she tasted it and then declared it tasted nothing like coffee.

But she's family and in her 70s so what are you going to do? Fortunately they don't come that often...

Jazzy! I missed you! Welcome home.

I am reminded of a guest who came to my New Year party a few years ago wearing a large firearm holstered at his hip. I expected everyone to be on the dressy side but……

Snooping would bother me, especially if I found them in a room they had no business being in. Or their hands in a dresser drawer, or medicine cabinet, or closet.

Climbed into your guest bed and took a long nap.

Looked through your closets and tried on clothes.

Packed ”doggie bags” at the end of a dinner.

Use his/her napkin to blow her/his nose (I saw someone do this once-ugh).

    Looked in the medicine cabinet.

I have a mirror hanging on the powder room wall. One time i had a guest go in there and yell ” help help”. Hetried to snoop in what he thought was the medicine cabinet and pulled the mirror half off the wall. Caught red handed!

Wow, Annie! I know she is family, but I’m also in my 70’s and would never dream of doing something like that. Just poor manners.

I would also be appalled at any of the above mentioned behavior…snooping, blowing nose on a napkin, packing a doggie bag, bringing an unannounced guest or pet. I don’t know which is the worst. They’re all awful!

Okay, I am in my 70s as well and husband is getting close to 80. Nope, would never do any of these things either. Is your relative showing signs of dementia? Otherwise, cannot imagine anyone doing that.

Ded, that is really pretty funny. He must have been so embarrassed.

This question made me think of my mom. She really didn’t like it when people set their drinks down on furniture without using the umpteen coasters she put out. She spent a lot of time passing out coasters!

My guests want to critique my decorating...or guess how much the house is worth. This last bunch liked my Wylers iced tea, sat at the table and ordered 25 boxes of it on Amazon. :0) None of it upsets me....
