I have LVP in my walkout basement with 3 huge dogs one is 145lbs they have free run out a doggie door to a huge dog run . All kinds of weather and at night I just doa quick swiffer or mop and they look great .We have laminate on the main floor looks like slate on a muddy day yes the LVP shows footprints but not on a dry day at all and not on the laminate either .

We put LVP in our lower level - about 3 years ago now - Asheville from SuperCore floors - and we still love it! We're on a lake - typical summer weekend is about 10 - 12 adults, a dozen grandchildren, and a few of their friends.

Not a single dent or scratch so far; easy clean - just mop with warm water and a little Mr. Clean.

Unfortunately dark laminate shiny flooring is quite difficult for it to look clean, even though you clean it. I have Pergo laminate oak look flooring in my kitchen, looks great! Nothing sticks to it, does not ding or scratch. Easy clean up with diluted vinegar and water. Everyone thinks it is real oak. When I had my kitchen renovated a few years ago I kept my Pergo flooring as I love it! Consider a lighter high quality laminate flooring.

Mine does not. It is from Metroflor or something like that.

The best way to select ANY flooring, from LVP to engineered ?

Go to a dedicated flooring venue, local to you. Narrow your selection to two if possible, a maximum of three.

Buy a full BOX of each. Lay them down in your space. Now? assuming you love one? Start walking.: ) on that sample you just made on your floor.....wet feet, invite the dog....etc.

We purchase Paramount and it's terrible we've had nothing but problems with this company. They do not even list a phone number to call...that should tell you something right there.
