When we moved back into my house after tenants from Hell in 2005, we had (among many other problems) the UN of cockroaches: Mexican Roaches, German Roaches, and I forget the other major group. (not to mention waterbugs, mice, and so forth, concrete down the shower, etc.)

We used a major, well-known service for a few monthgs, and finallyt got fed up; we were calling them at least every two weeks, and sometimes weekly.

We fired them, i applied the old Hot Shot concentrate and spread boric acid (the finer stuff for roaches, not the stuff ants bring home).

It wasn't long until we were bug free, and we didn't see another crawling live bug inside for fifteen years (the occaisional dead waterbug in the bathroom showed us the spray was still effective.

We're finally seeing waterbugs coming up from the sewer again, and hanging out in the bathrooms. But that spray is apparently long discontinued (i see old bottles for sale on ebay).

Is anyone familiar wioth what would be an approximate substitute? That stuff was a perfect solution!
