Bright red stain on brand new cedar siding after being VERY clear we did not want red at all costs. Our contractor used 2 coats the same day he put the boards up. Besides the Siracha Sauce color, I am unsure what problems we should anticipate, as I am reading that waiting for the wood to dry before putting a stain on is essential, and then there should only be 1 coat.

• Can anyone tell me what might happen over time because of the 2 quick coats of stain before the wood had had a chance to age?
• Does anyone have suggestions for removing the stain without damaging the stone below.
• The ceiling of the porch was new pine, and is now stained the same dark color-is there a way to fix this?
• Can we paint over the stain if all else fails (contractor said we can, but I want to get a few opinions).
