Black or SS induction cooktop?

Getting close to ordering appliances for a new build, and will be going with Cafe's 36" induction.

They make a black version and a stainless steel version. The rest of the appliances will be stainless steel. We're doing a navy island and a very very light gray (Woodmark's painted harbor) for the wall cabinets. Haven't selected the specific countertop yet, but will likely be a mostly white quartz with some grey and maybe blue veining. I like MSI's Calacatta Miraggio Cielo or Statuary Classique.

Aside from color coordination, it looks like the SS cooktop has metal edges on the top and bottom, so maybe a bit more durable?

Having a different material with the stainless edges/seams will make it harder to clean. I would go a the simple black with one seamless material.

I have an induction range with a stainless front edge and the stainless doesn't really like the ceramic glass cleaner. It leaves smudges and then I have to clean that strip with something else.

I have the Bosch induction and also had the choice of with or without the edge. I went with the one with the edge feeling it might be a bit less likely to chip a corner. Cleaning it is not an issue. I use Windex to clean the ceramic glass top.

I have the Cafe Induction Cooktop with the SS trim. It has not been a problem cleaning it. I admit I don't use the "ceramic glass cleaner", I just use detergent.

It's easy to keep clean. I think that's mostly due to the fact that it's induction and any spills or splatters don't "cook on", everything wipes off easily. Also note that the trim is just on the top & bottom, not all 4 sides. That means it's easy to swipe stuff off to the side.

It's been great!
