So you are trying to find 1 brand for all of the appliances? Why? All of mine are different brand (chosen for their function) and go well together because of the stainless finish.

I guess they wouldn't have to be all the same brand. Just like the idea of everything matching. And if I'm purchasing everything at the same time, thought it made sense to buy as a package.

I'll recommend an independent appliance store near you over the big box stores. Over a sales weekend (President's Day), both had sales on what we wanted, but the indie store was at least 10% less than Lowe's or HD. Free delivery included and they held the appliances for a couple of months until we were ready for them.

As I mentioned, we are pretty rural, about an hour and a half away from a larger city, so access to repair and customer service is an important consideration. My thought is less technology equals easier repair. I am by no means a chef and there are just two of us.

For a refrigerator, I want counter depth, SS, french door, no ice/water dispenser in the door. Prefer solid freezer drawers over wire baskets as the ones I have seen are pretty flimsy.

Models I am considering so far are:

Bosch B36 CL812NS- although not sold on handles vs recessed- could do either. More concerned about the many reviews that say the ss finish comes off

There are 2 independent appliance stores- one that is GE certified in repairs but sells Whirlpool, Amana & KA as well. The other other store sells whirlpool, amana, maytag & KA. Neither sell Frigidaire, but unsure why. I could order online, but would like to see the actual product prior to purchase if possible. We do have the regular big box stores here- BB would be first choice if we had to go that route, but also have Lowes & Home Depot. Just would prefer to support local businesses if possible. And products made in US for parts availability.

You might consider an electric induction range such as the LG LSIL6336F or bargain Samsung NE63B8211SS instead of a radiant range.

All Frigidaire dishwashers tested by CR did poorly.

Bought all new SS appliances in 2018. Very happy with Bosch refrigerator and dishwasher. No problems with SS finish on either. Some people have difficulty loading the Bosch DW because the tines on the racks do not fit with the curve and size of the dinnerware. Before I bought the DW, I brought some of my plates and bowls to the store to see how they fit in the DW. I had no problem, but some (many?) people do.

I totally detest my Samsung slide in range with two ovens: flex duo. I keep hoping it will break so I can buy a new range. Despite the high BTU ratings on two of the burners, boiling water for pasta takes "forever". At least it seems that way. I had Samsung service the range when new because of this inability to boil water and the service person said it was "performing within operating parameters", which translated into "tough luck- I'm leaving".

Irrelevant. The OP is looking for a single-oven electric range, not a dual-oven gas or dual-oven dual-fuel range.

Stay away from packages and instead get the best, most useful to you, and easiest to service brand for each item. No brand makes all appliances equally well.

You seem insulted that I didn't support your choice of a Samsung range for the OP. I was commenting on the performance of the cooktop so the fact that the range had one or two ovens is the irrelevant part. The fact that the Samsung cooktop doesn't perform well is probably relevant to all their ranges. BTW, you inferred that I had a gas cooktop on my range. Can't imagine why you did so. Bad assumption on your part. I never said that. In fact, there are no gas lines in my house whatsoever.

That makes no sense. Assuming gas, radiant, and induction cooktops perform the same is silly.

I don't like my Samsung range.

It performs poorly.

I wouldn't buy one again.
