Since it isn't heavily Tudor, more of a modern interpretation of Tudor, I personally think you could delete all the panes and go with windows that have no divided lites. Especially on the French doors.

RE: the type of windows, there are a few manufacturers who do vinyl frame and offer standard colors other than white. Prices vary so much I couldn't tell you what to expect re the price. The good thing is, this is something you can competively quote until you find the right solution for your budget. Check local codes to make sure you meet their requirements for energy efficiency - altho I would expect the vendors to be up to date on those. Best of luck! There are window manufacturers like Marvin who advertise that they do historic replacement windows. What year was your house built and where is it located?

Hopefully the local distributors of the window products can help you find a good installer who will take care of the permits for replacing the windows. Most municipalities will give you a permit to replace old with new windows without a requiring drawings....or providing calculations, etc.
