Mr Steam or Kohler steam shower system

Hi! We are doing a full bathroom remodel and putting in a steam shower. We are trying to decide between Mr Steam and Kohler packages. We don't want speakers, special lights, etc.... just the steam. I narrowed down the main differences being Mr Steam takes 5-10 minutes to steam ( long in my opinion), need to buy a accessory for purging and does after each use, made in US and considered by people in industry we talked to to be leader in steam showers and quality. Kohler heats in 1 minute, not made in US and the generator has an auto-purge/sanitize option that you can program at the frequency desired so not as wasteful for water. Does anyone have experience with either that could speak to the quality, ease of warranty and/or durability? Thank you.

We ended up going with Kohler and after the pressure to pick and receive it… still waiting on installation. I will update once we try it out!

If you google 7 best steam showers of 2023 they do a really good comparison to read .To me the Kholer just sounds better they have agood reputation in most bathroom items they make.

We have a 2006 vintage Kohler steam generator. No problems.

Ha, I went for the bells and whistles of Thermasol... netfix in the shower or thunderstorm effects with lights and sounds. Can't wait to get it up and running.

Thanks Patricia! I have read that article and a few others and our take away was we were going to go with Kohler…. Then going to Ferguson and Pirch and our plumber all recommended Mr Steam has us in an analysis dilemma. The answer might be can’t go wrong with either???

Our contractor is still NOT done! He had health issues. I should be able to try it out I. 2 weeks!!🤞
