Why tile the wall? You don't need it. I would paint it a fun color or put up wallpaper.

Using kitchen cabinets is fine, I'd paint those , and they don't need to be white! Unless you can show a layout with dimensions, the old pantry cabinet feels stuffed in.

Changing the flooring will not brighten up the space considerably, so definitely would leave the floor. Add a large rug instead. Also wouldn't do a backsplash - I'd add a fun wallpaper to the walls. The purpose of a backsplash is to prevent water from damaging your walls - with the way the sink/window are situated, it wouldn't much do so in your case.

Jan - we didn’t do floors because those are in great shape and good quality, plus the laundry room remodel was a bonus add because I was able to reuse materials we had in the layout I wanted. The space doesn’t feel as cramped as what the image shows, and is a massive upgrade in both layout, function, and storage to what was there previously. What would you paint to cabinet colors? That seems like a job I can also do down the road. The flooring outside the laundry room is a beautiful blonde white oak LvP (see picture, laundry room is door on the right.

IMO SxS W/D would be a better choice than that pantry cabinet . You would then have aplace to fold clothes . I really need to see the whole space to understand the stacking appliances and also you cannot put LVP over tile so the tile stays . As for cabinet color why not do something fun . I think this is a space that could benefit from a barn door to free up space in the room. What is the reason for the space on the left of the sink? Post a to scale floor plan here on graph paper in jpeg format then we can get a real feel for the space. Post in a comment DO NOT start another post.

Patricia, we evaluated all options including side by side, and leveraging the stackable was the best layout solution IMO. The pantry cabinet is a great essential, and I really like the stackable LG unit.

The space to the left of the sink is necesssary as there’s HVAC and water heater to the left, so we left the appropriate clearance for maintanence and removal/replacement if necessary. I will get a rolling storage for that space to maximize usage.

When you say “do something fun” with the cabinet color, what do you have in mind?
